Someone I Love or Someone Who I Want to Be - 2011

“Someone I Love or Someone Who I Want to Be” organizes encounters between a poet, a vocalist, and a composer, whose impromptu interactions serve as raw material for a fictional script about intimate and fraught relationships. The edited film presents burgeoning connections that grow through their depiction onscreen. Each person participates in a give-and-take between representation and revision as a polyphonic form of authorship emerges. Ultimately the three protagonists mutiny against the director.
